Problem after the Sega Logo.
« on: December 10, 2016, 09:48:02 pm »
Has someone had a problem after the Sega logo? When I burn a CD, it works fine on the emulator. but when I put on my Saturn after the Sega logo it goes to a black screen. Then I need to reset to go back to the menu screen.

What I realized, Games are working well with ModChip and Swap Trick!!! But when I'm using pseudo saturn cartridge to use back-up cds, it gets a black screen after the Sega Logo. However I think this is a problem of compatibility with the cartridge because other official games have the same problem.

Do you have any idea if I can use some patch on the files to get it working with pseudo saturn?

Thanks!

That's odd, jo engine has been reported working with Pseudo.

I've attached Pseudo CD Patch which modifies header making some nonworking games compatible.

How do you guys burn your iso? I just got my Saturn and did the pseudo flash no problem. I got Radiant Silvergun to work too, but when I try my .iso of my game it freezes on the sega logo after the pseudo menu. My game works in SSF and Yabause so think im doing something wrong.

Using Verbatum Cds
Imgburn 16x with verify
Patching with the cd patcher on the website.

The issue comes from the Jo Malloc allocating memory to wrong addresses on your AR+ 4 MB RAM. You can add a line in your makefile to support Pseudo Saturn Kai, which won't allocate memory on it and will allow you to boot the game.

It can be fixed, so I wouldn't worry too much about it for now.
