Hello, I'm not sure I'll be posting much, but I want to keep an eye on developments with Jo Engine.  What I've seen so far is fairly promising!

I am a bit of a C/C++ programmer with some interest in 3D computer graphics, so I'd like to learn a bit more about how the Saturn works, particularly where 3D comes into play.

Hi Chron,

No problem, can you create a new post on "General discussion about the Sega Saturn" ?

Hi everyone  ;D!
I was not sure if should have made a new post to introduce myself but decided to do it on this one.
My name is Roberto Daniel Alves Duarte, usually everyone calls me by my second name, so you can call me Danny or Daniel  :P.
I'm 28 years old and I live in Oporto Portugal, and I'm a computer science engineer and I have been working on real-time distributed embedded systems at CISTER research centre.
Playing the Sega Saturn was what inspired me to be a programmer, the wonder I felt for it's complex architecture was what made me interest in parallel and distributed programming.
A few weeks ago I casually searched the internet for homebrew development on the Saturn and I found the Jo-Engine, I was really impressed! I have read SGL Development Manual to try to understand how it works and I must say the Jo-Engine really took much of the difficulty of programming to the Saturn!
Johannes, I can't thank you enough for what you have done here! I have been playing around with the JO-Engine for a while now and I feel like a kid again, I want to my own games for the Sega Saturn now!
I really hope this community grows so I can see more games showing up on the Saturn  :).
